Is it important to choose a coupling that is good at correcting a certain type of misalignment?

In order to avoid premature failure of the coupling, a key design selection work is to select the correct coupling to deal with different deviations. Axial misalignment includes angular misalignment, parallel misalignment, and radial misalignment, as well as a combination of the above three types of misalignment. Flexible couplings are basically designed to correct some specific deviations. For example, Oldham couplings are suitable for relatively large parallel deviations, while the ability to correct angular and radial deviations is low. On the other hand, the spiral kerf coupling with a single set of kerfs is the opposite.
